This site is named in memory of my late Golden Doodle, Rowdy. He was the perfect mix of chaotic energy and loyal companionship.
But the name also speaks to my philosophy on technology. I'm a finance professional by trade, but my approach to coding is a bit "rowdy." I'm a tinkerer. I break things to see how they work. I write messy scripts to automate perfectly logical tasks. This site is a tribute to that spirit: unstructured curiosity meeting structured goals.

My professional life is built on capital allocation and risk management, but my personal passion is Financial Independence. I treat my household balance sheet with the same rigor as a corporate treasury—optimizing for tax efficiency, smart leverage, and long-term growth.
When the spreadsheets close, the kettle turns on. Home brewing (and distilling) is my primary creative outlet—the perfect blend of art and science. Dialing in water chemistry, managing yeast health, and refining recipes until the result is perfect. It's not just about making beer; it's about mastering the process.
I hope to never mow the lawn or shovel snow again. From being a long-time lawn robot owner to deploying my Yarbo autonomous blower, I'm obsessed with delegating physical labor to machines. Now I'm expanding into software—exploring how AI and Python can further automate my life.

An original comic and illustrated storybook series created for my daughters. Ellie (commander & pilot) and Tillie (astrogator & science officer) blast off in the starship Astro-Hound alongside Franklin the red Golden Doodle—cruising past the clouds at warp speed, uncovering ancient lunar star-maps, and outsmarting space cats across Mars and Jupiter!
